Brief History Spring Lake Fire Co. No. 1 was the first Fire Company to serve and help protect the residents of Spring Lake and neighboring towns. The first regular meeting was held on Nov 11, 1890. What makes Fire Co. No.1 unique is the members own, and maintain the firehouse as well as 2 of the 3 fire trucks housed at the station. In today's high cost of equipment and buildings most fire companies are funded 100% by municipalities. Our purchases and recent building renovation were made possible by the Generous donations from residents and businesses over the past 118 years. We pride ourselves in still be able to maintain our building and purchase apparatus through donations rather than impacting the municipal budget. To this day the Fire Company is still manned solely by Volunteers

About Us Spring Lake Fire Co. No. 1 participates in various community activities throughout the year, including the annual fire prevention program at the schools. Each year we sponsor the annual "Lunch with the Easter Bunny" and "Visit with Santa" both events are held at the firehouse on 5th Avenue.

Fire Prevention - Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Detectors Saves Lives!
