Mayor Jennifer Naughton initially took office as Mayor in December of 2006 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of former Mayor Thomas Byrne. She was elected in November of 2007 to a full four year term which commenced January 1, 2008 and will run until December 31, 2011. She previously served as a member of the Borough Council from 2000-2002. Mayor Naughton serves on the Finance, Public Safety and Public Communictions Committees and as Liaison for Public Safety, County-Borough Relations and Street Lighting. She previously served on the Council Finance, Land Use, and Parks Committees.
Mayor Naughton is a member of the Spring Lake Shade Tree Committee and the Spring Lake Five Committee. She is a former Co-Chair and Treasurer of the Spring Lake Recreation Commission and a former officer in the HW Mountz PTA.
Mayor Naughton is a lifelong resident of Spring Lake and works as the President of Radiant Resources in Manasquan, New Jersey. She is married to Gary Ciliberto and together they have two children, Nicholas and Elyse.
