Spring Lake Seeks Funding to Restore Historic First Aid Building

The Borough of Spring Lake, working in cooperation with the Preservation Alliance of Spring Lake, recently applied for grants to the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office and the Monmouth county community Development Block Grant Program.  the Grant applications seek funding to restore and preserve the historic First Aid Building on Wahsington Avenue.  The Borough hopes to use the restore building as a Visitor's Center and Senior Citizen Center.

Spring Lake Thanks Andrew D'Amico and Robert Chinnery, Jr.

As part of the Commuity Development Grant Application, the Borough was required to submit a video presentation of the project and applciation.  Thanks to the volunteer efforts of two Spring Lake residents, high school seniors, Andrew D'Amico and Robert Chinnery, Jr., the Borough submitted what we consider to be the best video among all of the applicants.  these two fine young men dedicated approximately 15 to 20 hours each of their time to script, film, direct and produce the vidoe submitted by Spring Lake.

You can view their vidoe by clicking on the link below.  Andrew and Robbie were recently honored with a Resolution of Appreciation from the Mayor and Council, a copy of which can be seen by clicking on the second link below.
