The Spring Lake Police Department is a fully staffed, 24/7 operation. Its mission is to provide professional police protection and quality services through a strong, integrated relationship with the community. The policing strategy of the department is that of proactive policing through community involvement. The members of the department participate regularly in local fundraising activities and school events.

Our fulltime force is supplemented by approximately twelve seasonal Class I & Class II Special Officers. These officers are assigned mainly to the beachfront for the spring and summer seasons
