The Department of Planning, Zoning and Code Enforcement is located in the lower level of Borough Hall. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Department includes the Planning Board, which handles all land use applications in the Borough and is under the day to day oversight of the Planning Board Secretary, Peg Costanzo.
Steve Roe is the Borough Code Enforcement Officer and is responsible for the investigation of complaints and the enforcement of the Borough's zoning and property maintenance laws and regulations, as well as the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy for property sales or rentals. Mr. Roe's hours are Mondays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. He can be reached in the office on Mondays between 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Phillip Kavanaugh, P.E. is the Borough Zoning Review Officer responsible for reviewing proposed development plans and determining whether the property owner may proceed to the Construction Department for permits or whether they are required to seek approval from the Planning Board.
